Professional Development
We design, conduct, and evaluate protective action drills (evacuation, shelter-in-place, and lockdown and options for active shooter incidents) to educate employees how to safeguard themselves and others when there is an emergency.
We educate members of incident management teams and their leaders so they are aware of the types of threats and hazards that they may encounter. We explain plans and procedures and concepts of the Incident Command System to educate teams how to manage and stabilize incidents.
We train business continuity team members on business impact analyses, developing continuity and recovery strategies, and the activation and execution of business continuity plans.
We train crisis management and support team members on roles, responsibilities, lines of authority, coordination with internal and external teams and situation analysis, issues identification and forecasting, strategy development, and crisis communications.
We design, facilitate, and evaluate tabletop (discussion-based), functional (EOC-based) and full-scale exercises to stimulate discussion and analysis of plans and capabilities, familiarize participants with plans and incident management, and to identify opportunities to enhance programs.
We develop customized exercise “situation” manuals with multi-part scenarios, events list, injects, discussion questions, and self- and group-assessment questionnaires.
We facilitate the group “hot wash” discussion following an exercise to capture action items. We write after-action reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.
